Mumbai, Jan 2 (IANS) Fast bowler Sreesanth has been included in the India 'A' team for the one-day warm-up against England to be held at Palam Cricket Ground, Delhi, Jan 6.

Mumbai, Jan 2 — Fast bowler Sreesanth has been included in the India 'A' team for the one-day warm-up against England to be held at Palam Cricket Ground, Delhi, Jan 6.

With India running short of pacers, the selectors want to test Sreesanth's fitness ahead of the ODI series against England starting Jan 11 and the Tests series against Australia. Sreesanth has 87 wickets in 27 Tests and 75 in 53 ODI.

After a injury lay-off, due to a toe surgery, Sreesanth made a comeback wih the Ranji Trophy for his state team Kerala. This season he has taken nine wickets at 24.00 in three matches against Tripura, Jharkhand and Andhra.

Abhinav Mukund has been named the captain. All players were selected on the basis of their recent performances in the Ranji Trophy.

The second warm-up game will also be held in the capital against Delhi Ranji team at the Feroze Shah Kotla, Jan 8. It will be a day-night encounter and will start from 12 noon.

India A: Abhinav Mukund (captain), Murali Vijay, Robin Bist, Kedar Jadhav, Ashok Menaria, Rohit Motwani (wicketkeeper), Jalaj Saxena, Akshay Darekar, Ishwar Pandey, Sreesanth, Rishi Dhawan, Paras Dogra, Mohit Sharma, Rasool Parvez.
