Clear day for Delhi

New Delhi, Jan 19 (IANS) It was a bright and clear day for the capital but there was a nip in the air Saturday. Similar conditions are likely Sunday, Met officials said.

New Delhi, Jan 19 — It was a bright and clear day for the capital but there was a nip in the air Saturday. Similar conditions are likely Sunday, Met officials said.

The minimum temperature was 7.3 degrees Celsuius, average for this time of the season.

The maximum temperature settled at 18.9 degrees, one notch below average.

"The sky will be clear Sunday," said a Met official.

"The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 17 and six degrees," said the official.

A light blanket of mist enveloped the city early morning.

Friday's maximum temperature was four notches below average at 16.4 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled at 11.3 degrees Celsius, four notches above average.
