Abu Dhabi, Feb 12 (IANS/WAM) Former US president Bill Clinton will deliver the keynote address at the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) Global Summit to be held in Abu Dhabi in April.

An impressive line-up of speakers for the two-day event includes British journalist and media personality David Frost, American actress and activist Daryl Hannah and environmentalist Jonathon Porritt.

The WTTC is the global authority on travel and tourism. It promotes sustainable growth for the industry, working with governments and international institutions to create jobs, drive exports and generate prosperity.

In 2011, travel and tourism accounted for 255 million jobs globally. At $6.3 trillion, the sector is a key driver for investment and economic growth. For more than 20 years, the WTTC has been the voice of this industry globally.

Oct 31 2014 1:58pm CDT | Source: National Post

That record looks set to hold in Tuesday’s vote, which will be a referendum on Barack Obama, a lame- ...

7 Questions To Ask Yourself Before Starting An Office Romance

Oct 21 2014 12:26pm CDT | Source: Business Insider

On Monday, former White House intern Monica Lewinsky gave an emotional speech at the Forbes Under 30 Summit about falling "in love" with President Bill Clinton in 1998 and how the subsequent affair "totally destroyed" her reputation. But while dating at work always carries a certain amount of risk — particularly if your prospective lover is the married President of the United States — office relationships don't ...

Indian equity bulls should't anticipate further crude price decline (Currency Corner)
Oil is in a bear market. Over the past few months, both major crude benchmarks - Brent and Western Texas Intermediate (WTI) - have corrected by over 25-30 percent from their 2014 peak. Interestingly, and as it often happens in the financial markets, the timing of this plunge has surprised many. The fundamental factors behind the drop in oil prices—easing - geopolitical tensions, slowing economic growth, especially in the Euro area and China, the Libyan output hitting the supply market again and the US shale oil revolution (the dominant factor) — could have been factored in well before and the plunge could have been smoother and more gradual, unlike the kind of capitulation we are witnessing now.
