Jacksonville, FL, October 09, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Due to recent expansion within The Grimes Companies (TGC), Grimes Trucking Company has relocated to 1108 N. Lane Ave. in Jacksonville. The new facility more than doubles the office space dedicated to Grimes Trucking Company while also adding enclosed bays for in-house servicing as well as a dedicated yard for trailers and equipment.
“We are experiencing so much growth, we’ve found it impossible to contain it in one building,” remarked Michael O’Leary, President of TGC. “The additional facility offers a number of advantages for our rapidly expanding trucking operation and will provide TGC with the space needed to operate our new distribution staffing division.”
Many trucks will still find the main Grimes building at 600 N. Ellis Rd. a frequent destination, as the warehousing and packaging operations have not moved. “The staff at Grimes Trucking is a talented and team-oriented bunch,” explains Ike Sherlock, Vice President at TGC, “so even apart from the warehouse, they’re aware of every shipment and schedule. They’ve pitched in to help move and are already enjoying their new spaces.”
Consistent with the productive and goal-oriented attitude of Grimes, the move began Friday, October 4th, and by mid-Saturday Operations were up and running again at the new location. “In our business, it’s critical to have someone available 24 hours a day with every detail possible at their fingertips,” commented Michael White, Director of Fleet Operations at Grimes Trucking.
TGC, a Jacksonville, Florida based company, currently operates both public and contract warehouses in Florida, light manufacturing and packaging in Jacksonville FL, and trucking terminals in both Florida and Georgia. As a single-source solution for logistics and supply chain needs, TGC provides warehousing, transportation, packaging, and staffing to its clients.
