Denver, CO, October 25, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Weidt Group, an energy and software consulting firm, has announced that Program Manager Dana Kose, LEED® AP BD+C, LEED FacultyTM, will moderate the Opening Plenary for the annual USGBC Colorado Green Schools Summit, which is scheduled for Nov. 8 at the University of Denver.
The Opening Plenary will be held from 8:30-9:30 a.m. and will cover Trends in Energy Efficiency Strategies for Schools, which will explore the tested strategies of three large Colorado school districts in achieving their energy-saving goals. A panel discussion and presentation will be followed by a Q&A session with attendees. The daylong event also will feature keynote speaker Stephen Ritz of the Green Bronx Machine. Registration and breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m., and a networking reception will be held from 4-6 p.m. Throughout the day, there will be breakout sessions and networking opportunities, as well as lunch.
The seventh annual summit is designed to offer an opportunity for open dialogue among K-12 stakeholders, policymakers and green building industry professionals. The annual event is hosted by the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Colorado chapter.
