About Dr. Wilma Bulkin Siegel
Dr. Bulkin Siegel has over 40 years experience in the media field. She is a Doctor and Artist at WBS Studio which is both a national and international healing through art studio. She provides visual narratives that promote a healing process using art and medicine. Dr. Bulkin Siegel brings art into the medical field as an educational tool and a forum for healing. She is considered a Pioneer in the field of Hospice and is noted as having established one of the first Hospices in the state of New York. She was also one of the first to accept AIDS patients. Dr. Bulkin Siegel is an award winning artist. She was featured on CNN television for an AIDS series of paintings. She is the President of the Foundation for the History of Women in Medicine. Dr. Bulkin Siegel was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She obtained a M.D. from Women’s Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1962 and an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Drexel University in 2006. Previously, Dr. Bulkin Siegel served as an oncologist in New York City. In her spare time she enjoys reading, art and painting.
