San Jose, CA, November 05, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Green leader Papros Inc. released a brief webinar on demand for manufacturers to learn for themselves and train their suppliers on practices in obtaining laboratory reports for demonstrating product compliance. The webinar discusses the latest developments in the field including the use of a newly released standard for lab reports, and how to use that in streamlining the compliance process.
Discussion relates to RoHS, REACH, Green Chemistry and how the extensive record keeping and compliance requirements of these regulations/directives spawn careful planning in obtaining lab reports, attaching them to the material declarations, and the process of rolling up information from suppliers to the top product level. Also discussed are points to remember in asking the labs performing the tests to do to ensure that consistency is maintained and that the records unambiguously support the final product declaration. For example, the RoHS compliance will need to be demonstrated at a layer by layer basis, and thus, because most current standards refer to homogeneous layers only by name and not a number, the sample product name for the homogeneous layer used by the lab must uniquely match that in the material declaration.
An important part of maintaining and tracking all this information is being able to quickly produce the backup documentation if demanded for verification by any regulatory authority in a manner that is efficient, timely and satisfies the global nature of trade and compliance in today's supply chain.
