CORENA Implements Comprehensive Parts Catalogue Solution Based on S1000D at Norwegian Rail

Dec 17 2013, 3:04am CST | by

Copenhagen, Denmark, December 17, 2013 --(PR.com )-- CORENA, a global leader in S1000D software and implementation services, announced today that they have signed a strategic agreement with Norwegian Rail (NSB) for a comprehensive installation of an S1000D based MRO solution.

Under this agreement CORENA will implement an electronic Parts Catalogue solution for all train types. The solution builds upon NSB’s Visual Information Library solution (VIL) already delivered by CORENA. The Visual Information Library shall support the new Flirt trains with 3D models for intelligent navigation, and it will now be extended to cover all other existing and future train types.

The solution, which offers seamless integration to SAP, includes capabilities for both 2D and 3D Parts Catalogues and for generating job cards in XML/S1000D format.

“We have selected CORENA after a thorough evaluation of possible vendors of Parts Catalogue solutions that would work in integration with SAP. Also, CORENA is an innovative partner who truly understands our business. We are looking forward to experiencing the benefits and seeing the excitement from our end users,” says Jan Gårderhagen, Manager Maintenance Publications, NSB.

“The interest for S1000D is rapidly growing in the global rail industry, and CORENA is a key player in the initiatives to define a set of rail specific business rules. We are of course extremely proud to support NSB as one of the first movers to actually implement S1000D across an MRO organization. And we are looking forward to our further engagement with them as well as with the rest of the industry,” says Toralf Johannessen, CEO, CORENA.

CORENA is a global software company and one of the world’s leading suppliers of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf products managing the production, publishing, and distribution of technical documentation for complex and mission critical equipment. CORENA’s products are widely used, primarily by customers within the aerospace, defense and maritime industries utilizing recognized international standards like ATA iSpec2200, S1000D, and Shipdex.

CORENA also offers product independent training and consultancy on projects and analysis of your technical information processes. http://www.corena.com

Respecting The FX Price Action

Jul 26 2014 11:41pm CDT | Source: SeekingAlpha

Memphis Grizzlies v Houston Rockets
By Marc Chandler:Against the major currencies, the US dollar had a good week. It appreciated across the board, with two minor exceptions. The Swedish krona continued to recover from the slide spurred by the larger than expected 50 bp rate cut at the start of the month. A few data points, including June manufacturing PMI and June CPI were stronger than expected, and helped ease stagflation fears. The other exception was the Australian dollar, which sill managed to eke ...

2010 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival Presented By Shell - Day 5
By Ralph Shell: The downing of the Malaysian jet over the Ukraine last week resulted in safe haven seekers, causing the JPY to appreciate to 101.14. After the one day flurry, the yen then weakened to about 101.90. Quickly the conditioned reflex buying by the mob turned unprofitable. There were some weaker numbers that helped the yen bears. Jul 25 2014 1:40pm CDT | Source: Wichita Business Journal

This week’s list of the area’s top 50 employers is absent several companies that were previously listed. After Boeing closed its Wichita facility in May, it dropped off the list this year. The company dropped from a high of 3,700 full-time local employees in 2006, after it sold its commercial airplane manufacturing operation to Spirit Aerosystems, to just 1,000 full-time employees on the 2013 list. And following the merger of Cessna Aircr ...
