The 2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards Red Carpet

The fashion rookie Lupita Nyong’o continued her star turn on the red carpet with a turquoise Gucci number with floral detailing on the neckline at the Screen Actors Guild awards. Nyong’o won fashion hearts with her scarlet caped dress from Ralph Lauren at last week’s Golden Globes.

Blue on the red carpet is becoming quite the trend. Amy Adams looked elegant in a navy dress with an architectural neckline and a high slit from Antonio Berardi. And Morena Beccarin chose a softly pleated blue chiffon dress for her walk on the red carpet.

Several actresses who didn’t favor quite well on the red carpet polls at the Golden Globes like Sandra Bullock and Julia Roberts showed up this time around with a fashion vengeance. Bullock wore an emerald Lanvin dress with a soft cascade of ruffles on the front. Roberts sported a pink jumpsuit from Valentino. And Jennifer Lawrence, after her underwhelming Golden Globes dress, went the sparkly route in a fully beaded strapless column gown from Dior, of course.

Pink was quite the statement on the red carpet. The faultless Cate Blanchett in a draped pink Givenchy gown with sequins and bib-like detail looked fabulous as always. Kerry Washington was in a custom-made Prada – a beaded pink cropped top with a black ball gown skirt.

Oprah looked svelte in a purple gown from Badgley Mischka while Helen Mirren looked ultra glamorous and regal in black with gold embroidery from Escada.
