But, how about a billion dollar promise? A promise not to the company, but a promise to the world. Livecharity’s CEO, Johnny Saffar, has made this promise: Over half of the company’s net profits earned through its users will be donated to non-profit organizations that Livecharity software users select.

The beta version of Livecharity’s free software is available today at http://www.livecharity.com for Chrome users first (it integrates within the browser based upon user settings) and is verified by Norton antivirus. Livecharity is an online ad networking company, one with a revolutionary new ad model that puts control into the hands of the users. Ads are displayed every day when one surfs the Internet; those ads generate money because advertisers pay for the ads to be seen. Livecharity now offers a new online surfing experience.

Johnny Saffar noted, “What we have to offer is simple: We are giving you the ability to help.” Fifteen million children across the world die of hunger each year. One hundred million people are homeless, and 780 million people don't have clean water to drink. Overwhelming numbers, but how about this number? Three billion. That’s the number that some corporations have made in one month from online advertising revenue.

That is money made from individuals browsing the web. Livecharity has created a way to change things, a way to turn the conventional advertising model around so that better targeted ads are displayed and proceeds help NPOs with their causes to make a real, positive difference. Livecharity is also hosting the Charity LOVE Giveaway Contest on its Facebook page. The contest will run now through February 13th with the winner being congratulated on Valentine’s Day, February 14th. Eight national NPOs are participating in the contest – Action Against Hunger, Arthritis National Research Foundation, ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), Charity: Water, Invisible Children, Kiva, Livestrong Foundation and Medical Teams International – and Livecharity will donate $5000 to the organization that receives the most votes. Every vote helps, so anyone who wants to help is encourage to participate and vote.

The software can be downloaded from the Livecharity.com site or through the Google Chrome Web Store. One must be visiting either site for the download using the Chrome browser. Once the download is in place, the Livecharity button (toolbar) are accessible to the top right of your browser page. This will allow a personalized experience as well as show what money has been earned for donation so far for the selected non-profit organization.
