Stateful Traffic Generator® STG-10G with Embedded D-ITG™ and INTEL® DPDK

Jan 22 2014, 2:01am CST | by

Generates IP traffic comparable to FPGA based systems.

Rockledge, FL, January 22, 2014 --(PR.com )-- East Coast Datacom, Inc., a communications specialist, announces the Stateful Traffic Generator®, STG-10G based on a well known traffic generation engine, D-ITG™. The STG-10G is composed of a Graphical User Interface (GUI) that wraps the D-ITG™ engine, INTEL® DPDK Fast Packet Technology and other test tools.

The STG-10G produces IPv4 and IPv6 traffic by accurately replicating the workload of current user applications. The platform supports 8-Ports 10/100/1000 and 4-Ports of 10GbE traffic generation managed via the easy to use GUI. This allows users to perform load tests on hardware prior to deployment and to simulate wired or wireless network traffic behavior.

The STG-10G supports UDP, TCP, ICMP, DCCP, SCTP protocols and soon to be released support for IGMP. The STG-10G also supports replay of Pcap files with an easy to use Pcap player.

The STG-10G supports two modes of packet transmission. One being the Standard Mode for realistic traffic simulation allowing adjustable data rates. The second is the Turbo Mode which allows line rate transmission utilizing INTEL® DPDK drivers with Pcap files containing any type of traffic. The combination of D-ITG™ and INTEL® DPDK technology allows the STG-10G to generate traffic at comparable rates to FPGA based proprietary systems at half the price.

East Coast Datacom worked in collaboration with two of Italy's leading companies in the field of network testing and monitoring, Seven One Solutions and NM2 to produce an embedded design based on the scientific Distributed Internet Traffic Generator, D-ITG™ Open Source project that has a well know reputation for realistic replication of workloads. The D-ITG authors have over 25 publications in the field of IP Traffic Generation, have developed for East Coast Datacom a proprietary easy to use Graphical User Interface (GUI) with a collection of open source software that present a unique product.

Future work includes the addition of further protocols, an HTTP/HTTPS Traffic Engine, support for 40Gbps/100Gbps traffic generation and line capture with analysis features.

With a host of user features, ease of use and free software upgrades included in a 3-Year warranty, the STG-10G is well positioned for budget conscious buyers.

Update: CEO Departure And Recent Capital Raise At OXiGENE Reaffirms Bull Thesis

Jul 28 2014 2:00pm CDT | Source: SeekingAlpha

By Trevor Lowenthal:In March I wrote an article with a thesis stating that OXiGENE Inc. (NASDAQ:OXGN) is undervalued, but weak financials, poor historical stock performance and a suboptimal manufacturing capacity would impede the company's progression to the cancer market. I argued that these inefficiencies could prompt management to sell the company at a discount relative to what I believe to be the true value of OXiGENE's lead ovarian cancer product, Zyberstat/Avastin. Unfor ...

Lonza Targeting Significant Internal Improvements

Jul 28 2014 12:30pm CDT | Source: SeekingAlpha

By Stephen Simpson, CFA:Back in December I thought biopharma manufacturing and specialty chemical company Lonza (OTCPK:LZAGY) looked like a "middling" investment opportunity on the basis of a rich valuation and so-so organic growth prospects. Since then, the shares are up about 25% as investor interest in immuno-oncology has swelled, free cash flow generation has improved faster ...

Just fire up your printer, maybe download a blueprint, and get cracking. But there are still plenty of average consumers who may not want to invest i ...
