San Antonio, TX, February 14, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Rockabye Baby Rentals has begun service dedicated to serving the needs of residents and people traveling to the San Antonio, Texas area with children under the age of three. The company is owned by Annie Swinford-Gonzales who, began Rockabye Baby Rentals in 2006 in Houston, TX. Through her own experiences, she discovered how cumbersome traveling with small children and all their "stuff" can be.

Rockabye Baby Rentals provides popular brand name furniture, equipment, and accessories for rent, including cribs, high chairs, strollers, car seats, swings, toys, play yards, etc. Delivery, setup and pickup, as well as Airport Drop Off to Car Rental Counters are available. At present, the company offers services in Houston, Galveston, Austin, Marble Falls, San Marcos, New Braunfels, and San Antonio, Texas; New Orleans, Louisiana; Birmingham, Alabama; Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach, Florida; and Denver, Colorado. Delivery and pickup are available seven days a week in most locations.

Rockabye Baby Rentals is dedicated to the cleanliness and safety of its rental products. In February 2000, the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the SAFE KIDS Campaign found that 82 percent of hotel and motel cribs inspected had at least one safety hazard, including loose hardware, lack of secured mattress supports, soft bedding that could cause suffocation, or adult-sized sheets that pose a strangulation and suffocation hazard. Unfortunately the same problems were again found in May 2001. In a segment on NBC News that aired May 14, 2001, and in a Dateline NBC segment that aired May 15, 2001, consumer reporters, with assistance from the SAFE KIDS Campaign, found that 90 percent of hotel cribs inspected were unsafe. In June 2011, the Consumer Product Safety Commission made sweeping reforms regarding Crib safety, banning the sale and commercial use of Drop Side Cribs and requiring all cribs manufactured prior to June 2011 be removed from commercial use. This change resulted in many hotels discontinuing cribs from their inventories completely and offering Pack N Plays, which are not appropriate for toddlers over 35-lbs.

To avoid such problems, all of the products that Rockabye rents, including its full-size cribs and crib linens, meet and exceed the Federal safety standards. Before any equipment is rented, Rockabye Baby Rentals (1) performs a safety check to ensure that the equipment is functioning properly and (2) thoroughly cleans and sanitizes the equipment.

Rockabye Baby Rentals works with individual clients who are either traveling to its service areas or who have friends or family coming for a visit with a small child. The company also works directly with area hotels, which for safety and convenience, have chosen to outsource their baby equipment needs.
