Any parent who has sold items in garage sales or online knows how frustrating it can be. Not only is it hard to make a decent profit from your children’s outgrown and unused items, but the prep work can be a royal pain with little reward.

Somerset, NJ, April 17, 2014 --(PR.com)-- That’s where Somerset/Middlesex Just Between Friends has found a growing niche for budget-minded parents in Somerset and Middlesex County. JBF children’s consignment sales events have become a growing trend by showing parents a significant difference in the money they earn for their gently used items.

“Consigning just makes good sense,” said Tara Green, coordinator of a JBF community children’s consignment event in New Jersey. “More and more, parents are using JBF to consign their items instead of turning to garage sales and online options. They’re finding increased profit for their items, plus, peace of mind knowing we take care of the hard part for them.”

The success of JBF comes from the focus on helping parents earn money by reselling their kids’ gently-used items when they are outgrown or no longer used. Consignors (sellers) prepare their own items and make their own prices. They keep a higher percentage of their sales (up to 70%) compared to traditional consignment stores and they don't have to go through the hassle of working a garage sale, or posting items one-by-one online.

“Our goal is to make it easy for parents,” said Green. “With JBF, there’s no sitting in the sun all day and dealing with hagglers or setting up a personal exchange with a complete stranger. You just prep, tag and drop-off your items…JBF does the rest. It’s that easy.”

At JBF events, shoppers can find thousands of baby and kids items, all under one roof. Parents no longer have to drive around town to different garage sales or surf the web where it's hit-or-miss on what items they might find and in what shape, since JBF has quality standards for all items dropped off at the sale.

JBF is hosting its Community Children’s Consignment Sales Event on May 29-June 1 at the Garden State Exhibit Center, 50 Atrium Drive, Somerset, NJ.

Parents can expect to find thousands of spring/summer clothing (up to size 18), maternity wear, toys, baby gear, outdoor playground equipment, furniture, books, games, DVDs and more. Parents who sell their items make up to 70% on their sold items, which is significantly more than traditional consignment options. A portion of the proceeds from the sales events will go to benefit one or more local children’s charities.
