Washington, DC, April 21, 2014 --(PR.com)-- RugKnots a leading producer of high-quality handmade oriental designer rugs, has now launched an e-commerce site making their handcrafted designer rugs available to consumers and interior designers, contributing 2% of all rug purchases to children's education in socially and economically challenged regions in the world. Providing children with an exceptional education and creating equality and employment opportunities otherwise unavailable.

RugKnots contributes to The Citizens Foundation's efforts to improve access to education for underprivileged children in Pakistan. By constructing and supporting more than 900 schools across Pakistan, The Citizens Foundation aims to help build civil society, promote gender equality, and provide a scientific and balanced education for children in Pakistan.

RugKnots also supports CARE & FAIR's efforts to reduce illegal child labor and improve the quality of life for rug industry knotters and their families. CARE & FAIR supports more than 30 community projects, schools, and family clinics in Pakistan, India, and Nepal.
