About Bhimsen S. Rao, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Rao has over 36 years experience in the healthcare field. He is the President of Shelby Pediatrics & Child Lung Center, P.C. which is a Pediatric Center in Shelby Township, Michigan. Dr. Rao serves as a Pulmonologist specializing in pediatric lung disease. He is affiliated with the A.M.A., A.T.S., A.C.C.P. and F.A.A.P. Dr. Rao was born on December 29, 1943 in India. He obtained a M.Sc. at Osmania University in India, a M.D. at Penn State University, trained in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine at Children’s Hospital of Michigan and completed the Post Graduate Training Program in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine at Yale University. In his spare time Dr. Rao enjoys golf, public service and charity work.
