In July, the Federal Aviation Administration sought to fine Southwest Airlines about $12 million over repairs the company made to its aircraft in 2006, as explained by the Dallas Business Journal. But the FAA and carrier hasn't been able to negotiate a settlement, and so the government is suing Southwest in an attempt to enforce those fines, according to a report by the Associated Press.
