Venture funding for Minnesota companies slumps in Q3

Venture capital investment in Minnesota startups slumped during the third quarter, after surging through the first half of 2014. Minnesota companies raised $60.8 million in the third quarter, down about 40 percent from $104.5 million in the prior three-month period, according to the MoneyTree Report compiled by PricewaterhouseCoopers and the National Venture Capital Association using data from Thomson Reuters.
